The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) has paid glowing tribute to retired Deputy Superintendent of Traffic (DST) Bello Anifat Abiodun, describing her as an icon of road traffic management whose professionalism, dedication and integrity left an enduring legacy in public service.
TRACE recalled that before her retirement, the Agency celebrated Abiodun while she was still actively controlling traffic at the NNPC Mega Station Under Bridge, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to traffic management and road safety in Ogun State.
According to the Agency, Abiodun distinguished herself throughout her career through humility, discipline, diligence and an unwavering commitment to duty, earning widespread respect within the Nigeria Police Force and among TRACE personnel.
The Agency noted that her wealth of experience and mentorship contributed significantly to the operational effectiveness of traffic officers across Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West senatorial districts, helping to strengthen traffic control and improve public confidence in the Agency’s operations.
Following her retirement, Abiodun on Tuesday visited the TRACE Headquarters in Abeokuta, where she was received by the Most Senior TRACE Commander, Cmdr. Elias Omonayajo Adedayo, F-CAI.
During the visit, she expressed appreciation to the Agency for the honour accorded her before her retirement and for the support extended to her during the transition from active service.
TRACE described her career as a testament to the virtues of consistency, integrity and selfless service, noting that the recognition she received at both state and national levels reflected the impact of her contributions to road safety and traffic management.
The Agency added that her exemplary service would continue to inspire younger officers and future generations of traffic managers, stressing that her legacy remains a model of excellence in uniformed service.
