Poised to ensure free flow of traffic for all roads users before, during and after Eid al-Fitr festive period, Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), has warned market men and women against display of goods on the roads, which obstruct free flow of human and vehicular movements.The warning came to the fore while operatives of the Agency led by the Most Senior Officer, Commander Elias Adedayo Omonayajo, carried out an operational tour at the Ram Market, along Kara, Ogere Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and Olomoore roundabout in Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.The Agency frowns against unlawful conducts capable of reducing road capacity, thereby impending free flow of human and vehicular traffic, as well as exposing the lives of such roads users to danger, particularly in cases of break failure and other hazards associated with vehicles.Omonayajo who disclosed that a joint task force involving TRACE and other sister agencies will not relent to enforce compliance and apprehend offenders, equally cautioned Road Union leaders and motorists to be wary of disobeying traffic laws in this festive period and to be orderly, with consideration for other road users; warning them to stop indiscriminate parking of vehicles in their bid to pick passengers or trying to purchase goods as road safety is a collective responsibility. Chairman, Task Force, National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ogere, Mr. Yomi James and other Market Executives, promised their unalloyed support for TRACE and its Officers; as they would extend the warning to other members.
